Perfect turbo hatchback.

So far the Elantra GT N-Line has been pretty good after owning it for 1 year. The DCT shifts great even if I'm hard on it. The engine is not crazy performance, but enough to have fun with, especially with a few easy mods. If you are expecting a VW GTI or Subaru WRX you might be disappointed with this car. If you want a nice balance of economy, performance, and utility at an incredible value, you will appreciate the Hyundai.… - 1.0
Never again.

The engine began stalling before it was a year old. Its been in the shop 7 times for this issue. No one has been able to fix it. Twice they tell me nothing is wrong with it. Then they clean some wiring thing. Then they say its a recall on the car's software. Now when it stalls the breaks don't work. Now its the thermostat. But yet it still sits in the shop because they don't know what's wrong with it. Hyundai just needs to admit that they don't know what's wrong. Warranty? On what.... I am taking a $7,000 hit on this car. DO NOT BUY!!!… - 2.0
So Upset!!!!
By Elantra Owner | on Tuesday, December 01, 2020
This is my first BRAND NEW car. I drove it off the lot at 7 miles and was so excited. Around 4000 miles my transmission went out and had to be replaced (covered by warranty). Now at 11,000, I am now about to pick up my car from the dealership again after it being there for over a month. First they said the replacement transmission was installed incorrectly. Nope, it was the transmission control panel. Nope. Then it was the transmission. New transmission didn't work. Said the dealership was sent a faulty transmission (go figure). Then it was the control panel again. Apparently it has been repaired but we will see. It broke down around 130 miles away from home so now I have to drive that 130 miles to get it back home. Hyundai corporate informed me that they would only tow it home for me if it was over 150 miles. Dealership staff has been great but I regret buying this car. They need to fix this issue as I have seen so many other complaints about it.…
