The 2022 Ford Maverick is a five-passenger, crew cab pickup truck available in either front-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive. Standard payload capacity is 1,500 pounds on both available engines, with towing ability reaching up to 4,000 pounds when properly equipped. The standard engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder FHEV Hybrid engine that pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission and will deliver up to 191 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque. Ford offers a more powerful, optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and will crank out up to 250 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque.
